I have a purebreed chineese crested that I rescued from a dog breeder that didnt couldnt give him the attention or care that he needs I got him and have been working with him and now he has a great personality and is very docile very good temperment, good with kids (dont know about real young kids) he is a little skittish ( he runs and hides) when he meets someone new but warms up quickly, he is 4-5 years old they have a life span of 12-15 years and is 90% housebroke/crate trained, he needs someone that can give him the TLC that he needs. I am aksing 25.00 adoption fee for him

I do not have room for another dog right now, but for anyone who's looking for a small dog, these dogs are wonderful. They bond very well with their owners and although they are shy and reserved around strangers they are the sweetest goofballs with people they know. No shedding! But you do have to put sunscreen on them in the summer and sweaters in the winter. Hedge if you send me a picture I can post it for you: Rivendell_Chinchillas@charter.net
I had a Crested, and will definately have another some day.
Oooh! Can I get a picture of him? amanda@paragonreptiles.com
Thanks!

Here's a pic. Generally, although "hairless" they are shaved with a surgical blade (just means really short) to pick up the strays and also their face, leaving their head, ears, tail and feet.
Hmm, let me see if I can beg the BF. I've wanted a crested for years!

Even a hairless has hairs that would need to be trimmed, click on the picture to enlarge it. I shaved the scraggles on mine regularly, especially the snout.
