Romeo is a little over 6 months old now and weighs about 270 grams. He has actually not gained any weight at all during the last couple of weeks so I was wondering if that means that he has most likely reached his adult weight?
Is that weight okay for a grown up hedgie? :dunno:
Sometimes I worry that he is such a small and light little guy but he is eating his kibbles every day and gets treats a few times per week. Should I be concerned or is his weight just fine?

Average is anywhere from 230ish to over 1000g's. In other words, there really is no average. It all depends on the hedgehog.
I have numerous boys in the 260-275 range. I'm sure Romeo is fine. Just a little guy. :)

That sounds just a little bit lighter than Edmund. :) The vet told me it was a healthy weight. Vincent weighs 400g, although I've heard of some truly MASSIVE hedgehogs. I guess it all depends on the parents...?

That's very true!! My smallest hog is 300 grams and my largest is pushing 1000 grams. My youngest hedgie is 2 years old with the older ones being 4.5 years.

Thanks everyone, I am glad to hear that Romeo's weight seems to be just fine. He guess he will always be my tiny little snuggle ball! :love2:
