Horse-related stuff

I have the following items for sale:

Album of Horses, by Marguerite Henry. New condition, paperback. A nice book, especially for younger readers, about various breeds of horses.

Reining, by Al Dunning. Paperback, cover is slightly bent up but otherwise in decent condition. A good book about reining techniques.

Books are $5 each or $7 for both. I also have several issues of the magazine Western Horseman. I'd keep them around just because they're great reference material, but I don't really have the space, living in an apartment.

I also have a string of horse-shaped lights, think Christmas lights but shaped like horses. They're really cute. New in bag, never used. $10.

Finally, I have a few pieces of Western horse show clothing:
1 cream colored show vest, imitation leather. Size XL. It's never been worn. $5.
2 long-sleeved "slinky" shirts, made of a velour-type fabric. 1 is black and the other is forest green. Both are size Large. The black one was worn once and the green one was never worn. $5 for both. All these items would be good in Horsemanship or Western Pleasure type shows.

I also have a few other items, not previously listed.

1 horse-shaped candle. The candle looks like a black horse, standing on green grass. It's kind of cartoony looking, almost My Little Pony-esque. The wick is located on the top of the horse's rump. The candle is about 6 inches tall, and is more decorative than functional. I would send it to whoever wants it, free of charge. (I may ask for the cost of shipping, depending on how much that ends up being.)

Two horse pictures (hang-on-the-wall type). These are about 9"x12", and are, I think, foil. The images are very shiny, and are quite beautiful when the light catches them. One shows some horses coming over the top of a grassy hill, with the sky in the background. The two horses in the foreground of the picture are a palomino and a rearing bay. The other picture shows horses running along a beach, with the water coming up to their hooves. I am asking $5 each for these.

hey, I subscribed to Western Horseman for one year several years ago (mid-90s?)... I have them all except the one that has instructions for a rope halter, and I want it... I don't know what year it was, because it's at my parents' place, but if that rings a bell... I can probably ask my parents to look and see what issue is missing if you potentiall have it?

equus, I know which issue you're talking about, because I really liked that one. Unfortunately my parents threw out all my older issues (pre-2003 or so). If I still had it I would certainly send it to you.

awwww... drat. I've never quite gotten up the motivation to hunt ebay or something for it, but maybe I should... I lent that issue to someone who wanted to make a halter for her horse, and then never got it back, even after asking for a couple years, then I moved... *sigh* ah well. I tried :)
