View Full Version : Is there such a thing as too many veggies?
Hello-I am a new hedgehog owner. I got my Zoey from a local rescue. She loves to eat veggies. Should I limit her veggies? She eats about 1 TB of carrots, sweet potatoes and peas every night. She eats plenty of protein too. I give her Rotal Canin light, with wet cat food or a gerber meat stick. She has maintained her weight since I got her.

I don't think there is such a thing as too many... but if you just got her, only try one new food a night to make sure she's not allergic or anything. Using 2 or more high quality cat foods is best as a staple diet, so if you can try to find some CSFTCLS or something to add the the RC... Don't give too many treats a day though. I think 1 TB of anything not dry cat food is enough. And wet cat food can make the poos awful smelly, and I think should be limited to once a week... It is often too fatty and stuff... But it does help them to eat grape-nuts or other fiber source if you put some in the wet cat food when you do give it.
I'm surprised she likes so much stuff! How old is she? Do you have pictures? Show me pictures!!!
Thanks-I am working on the picture. I am still trying to figure it all out.
