I think I'm in shock

What the heck is going wrong lately with me and the chins??? first I lose 2 babies within 2 weeks of each other. Then this. I was going thru the chin room doling out baths. Nothing wrong was noted, everything seemed normal. I go to put the bath in with Spitfire and Sam. .. . .and I notice Sam on the bottom of the cage stretched out. He's gone! my pretty ebony boy is ...just....gone. He was fine last night. No signs of illness. At last weigh in his weight was normal ( 1 week ago) appatite was fine, usual begging for a raisin. He's one of my older chins. Getting him was quite the story. Naming him was even more of one. He was one of my unique kids and everyone loved seeing him when I showed him as an example of ebony. He gave me 2 lovely babies, one of which is Spitfire. It's months like this that make me want to get out of raising chins completly. I can believe he's gone. :angry::S:cry:

Very sorry for your loss. I'd suggest getting a necropsy done just in case your other babies may be at risk there. :(

Sorry for your loss. I to can sypathize with you. I just lost one of my special chinnies . I have also lost some babies. I think it is much harder when they have been with us awhile. It hurts!! Again I am SO sorry about your loss. May he rest in peace.
