View Full Version : What's with the deleted weaning posts?

There were several posts of people's opinions on weaning age in Crazy4Critters 7 babies thread but when I went back to it they are gone. Haley posts to keep the thread on topic and says there is a current thread in the debate section yet it was just made at that time and no posts were moved that I can find. I don't understand why it was off topic, Crazy4Critters did ask about the weaning age. :dunno:

I don't think Haley meant it was literally off topic, the word ethical appeared in someone's post about weaning and that's usually a trigger word that you have a debate 'round the corner. I think she was nicely trying to remind everyone to take it to debate since it appeared to be headed that way. I think only admins can move posts or maybe mods, whichever one Haley isn't  so she might have to wait for someone else to shovel 'em over there.

There was a technical glitch (computer shut-down) while trying to split the thread. This caused the posts that were made to be lost (no power/no memory) while in the process of splitting the debatable comments into a new thread in teh Chinchilla Debate area.
These things happen. We regret that it did, but there is currently no way to resurect, unless someone has the emails notifing them of a new post added to the thread. If anyone has those, feel free to email them to me and it may take a day, but we'll do what we can to recreate the thread.

I just found a bunch in my trash folder if you want them!

That would help. I delete my trash every time I log out of my email.
It's going to take a little bit to reconstruct this, so bear with me. And I'm at a Sci-Fi convention this weekend (it's near home, so I'm commuting).

if you can pm me your email, I'll email them to you, there seems to be no way to attach them to the email here (that or I'm just not doing it right LOL)

Oh thanks! None of them were mine but some people had typed out quite long posts so I thought it was kinda weird to have to type it all out again. Well good to know I didn't imagine all these posts that had disappeared; for a while I thought maybe I was just crazy.

I thought I'd made a brief post, and was confused when it didn't show up, but now I know why. No biggie on my part, it wasn't a monumental post, just a tongue in cheek send me the babies and a wish for rest/play/doing chinnie stuffs for Brigit. But, now I'm glad to know my computer didn't mess up.
