Hi there,

since quite a few have already written to me about my current "Notfellchen", I'd like to introduce myself. Unfortunately my English isn't quite up to par, so I always have to rely on somebody else to translate for me - therefore my answers to your questions and mails could take a little time.

Anyways, my name is Andi (short for Andrea) and I own chnichillas since the year 2000. First I had two, then three, then seven ... you know, how it goes. I also volunteer for our local animal shelter (www.tierschutz-berlin.de). They tell me when they get chinchillas who are sick or otherwise mistreated and I care for them until they are healthy again and I can (hopefully) find a good home for the little fur bundles. You can/could read all about it on my homepage (www.pappelchins.de), but unfortunately most of it is in German. You will also find lots of pictures from the current animals in need - like the 21 poor little guys from our latest emergency (about whom I'll write more tomorrow).

If you have any questions you can send me mails - just be patient if I don't reply right away, I'll try to do so as fast as possible.

~Andi~ :-)

Welcome to Chins-n-Quills! My husband has been to Germany and says it is beautiful there. The closest I have gotten to Germany is a tour of the BMW plant here in America, which is about 5 minutes from my house! :)

An official welcome to the CnQ community! An announcement has been placed on the forum so that every member should see this sad case at the top of each section now. I hope that we can contribute towards the care of these chins - as they so desperately are in need. Please give them all a chinnie scratch from us! I know they are getting much better care now.

Don't be shy about asking for specific things that you may need in order to take care of these guys - they have touched our hearts.
