Hello, I have a doubt...a hedgie need documents of registration(CITES)..an african hedgehog needs any paper?
or not? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

They don't NEED papers but a lot of breeders will have pedigrees on them or will register with the IHR.

Pet hedgehogs are not pure Algerian Hedgehogs, which are the ones on the CITES list. Unless your hedgehog was taken from the wild, which I doubt since the risk of hoof and mouth disease has stopped most of that trade, Helva is most likely a pet hybrid of White-bellied, Pruner's and Algerian.

Unless you are talking about importing or exporting them. Then you need an international vet certificate and depending on what country it is going to/ coming from, you may need a stamp from a USDA vet.
