Irwin was getting pretty stinky, and he's been scratching a lot, so I decided it was time for his first "full" bath. He's had a foot bath, but tonight we did the whole thing. I put some Aveeno in the water, and washed him as well as he would let me with a small amount of Aveeno as well (avoiding face & head). I rinsed him off really well with clean water and then let him cuddle in a towel on a heat pad for an hour. He was nice and dry when I put him back! The poor little guy hated every minute of it - he spent the whole bath standing on his back legs, frantically scrabbling at the sides of tub. Usually when I pick him up he huffs a little, but when I lifted him out of the bath and put him in the towel, he didn't huff at all. He was just so happy to be out of the water! I feel bad for him, but at least now we won't have to do that again for a while. It might be my imagination, but I think he feels softer, and he definitely smells better! His little pink feet are so cute, all clean and tidy. He was good enough to poop in the tub while I was rinsing him, so no new poop boots tonight! He did pee on the couch though... one out of two ain't bad, I guess!

Awww, sounds just like my girls. I love the face they make when they're trying to get out (where's our pics?! ;) ) I can't believe how much poop comes out of them when you put them in water! It's so funny. Which reminds me; Isis needs a bath, she's starting to smell like pee.

Snow gets so frantic in the sink. He tries to climb up my arms to get out. Poor boy, and he is albino so when he gets dirty it is really noticable. I always give him a mealie with his after bath cuddles because I feel bad for torturing his little self. :dunno:

Irwin got two mealies for being such a good boy and not biting me while I was cleaning him up. I would have taken pics, but I had both hands busy trying to get him soaped up and then rinsed! I had no idea how squirmy he was going to get! He really enjoyed his time on the heating pad though - we might have to make that a more regular addition to cuddle time.

Oooh I know about the squirming! My girls are quite the squirmers.

I feel bad though because they do this thing where they try to run up the side of the sink and then they're right up on their tiptoes and then they fall down on their butt into the water with a splash and then they look around all confused, it makes me laugh, even though I feel kind of bad laughing. :p
