And a lot of it too. This is the only thing I know for sure he's eaten, because with apple and banana it looked a little gone but that could be from scattering it around the cage or something... But he definitely ate a whole bunch of cantelope! Good thing, too, because it's my dads favorite so we almost always have it around... Hmm... I wonder what else he'd like... can they have tomatoes? We have a whole bunch from our neighbors...

Cantaloupe is my hedgies very favorite. I tried giving him a grape tomato once and he started to annoint. I took it away from him though because his saliva had a bit of tomato in it and I just got him and wasn't ready to try a bath yet! :p I think they can have them though.

I remember reading somewhere that tomato was too acidic. :S I don't know much about food though.

I've been giving my boy a small piece (about a tablspoon) of cantaloupe every day and his poos don't stink!! Really though the consistency is firm (but not too dry) and doesn't smell that bad. Cantaloupe is the only treat thing that I have given him that he consistently likes.

Maybe Spiny is just sensitive.
Plus, it's good to keep humans, *ahem* regular as well.
It's like giving babies blueberry baby food... big poops.
