How long can you keep wet cat food in the refrigerator? Rico gets a bit every night because if he doesn't he doesn't do well... but I was wondering how long I can use a can before giving the rest to the cat?

I'm not really sure on that one, our cats go through it so fast it only last a couple of days. Isn't there an expiration date on the can? I've never looked before but you'd think there would be if dry food has one. :S

Well, the exp. date is before it's opened, so it says like feb. of next year... I don't want to spend all my parents money just because my hogs addicted to wet cat food! So I want to be able to keep it for as long as is okay....

Vet hospitals I've worked with have typically thrown out food by the time it's been in the fridge for a week. These are cans that are covered with the can-sized lids, not covered with tinfoil; those I'd toss out earlier. It tends to grow mold if they've been in the fridge for more than about 10 days (dog food especially seems to be prone to this... I've seen mold somewhat less often on cat food). If you're going through the food slowly, you can freeze canned catfood in an icecube tray and store it in an airtight container in the freezer, thawing it out as you go.

I've wondered about this question myself. What kind of wet cat food are you using? I love the Wellness brand (great ingredients), but also - it comes in a tiny little can, which is great! I can usually go through it in about a week if I give Razzle a little bit every night. I store the can in a Tupperware container in the fridge. Any longer than a week, I'd chuck it. Usually there isn't much left though.
Warning about Wellness wet food: may cause very stinky poos!!
