I have a question to the mods, and none of you are ever online! LOL
I started a thread that Linda from KMS Hayloft asked me to start, but it was deleted within 24 hours? I am just wondering what violation I did? It had never been a problem before!
Thanks!
Catherine

I'm not a mod, but I found this for you in the rules section:
The person listing items for sale must be a member of this forum (i.e. no posting for friends, neighbors, banned members, etc.) These ads will be deleted.
I hope that helps.

That thread wasn't about HER selling something. Just the owner of the company doesn't come on here..... So she was just "Relaying a message"

CnQ is trying to control the amount of "selling for others" as well as "advertising for others" as it can be misconstrued by new members (as well as old-timers). You should have recieved a PM or email regarding this when your post was removed.

Nppe, I received nothing, or I wouldn't be asking. LOL
I will let Linda know that I am in the future, unable to help her, even though it was never a problem in the past. She tries to stay clear of the forums, but since we have a WIDE number of her clients here, she was hoping to just let everyone know, as well as when the pellets would be out. Since many others here speak out for other products, I didn't see that as an issue. I guess I can't do that either for her anymore. I was her "spokeswoman" for the chinchilla community, so I don't really understand why it had to be deleted, but the rules have been changing a lot on here as of late, so I guess thats one that is now a bigger deal. :dunno:

There is almost always someone online but we don't have to be online for you to pm a question.
I looked up the thread and although I wasn't the one who deleted it, it was obviously deleted because you posted to the classified about something that isn't yours which is against the rules.

The person who owns and is selling the item is the only one that can post to the classifieds.
If you got away with doing it in the past then perhaps it just wasn't noticed or else, someone has reported it. :)

Again, sorry. Just didn't think that being a spokesperson when so many use the product, and she had new in, would be such a problem. I will make sure to not mention her products again in a manner that may be taken inappropriately.
I would greatly appreciate it if this thread was closed now. In the future, It would be appreciated to receive a message.

Could KitCatherine post to a different section if she knew something about Linda's hay? Like the 'diet and nutrition' section maybe? She
has done that in the past and it's been helpful for me to know that she is almost out of 2nd cut hay or things of that sort...

Thats where I had put it, or so I had thought. I just know that soooo many members here have benefited from the information and Linda asks me to do it as her chin spokesperson. If its not wanted here, then its not, and I can no longer do it.

Actually, we don't normally send out pm's when a thread is closed, at least I don't. If I did, that would be all I did all day.
I know there are a lot of people who use Kleenmama's, but when a warning is sent on a thread for it being in violation of forum rules, we have to address the issue. It's no different than if Oxbow advertised on here. They'd need to become a member, post 50 posts, then advertise for themselves.
Also, ANY time anybody has a question that they need to address to the mods, they don't need to open a thread to do it. Pretty much everybody knows who we are, and it also lists us under forum leaders. Please feel free to drop any of us, any time, a pm addressing your concerns and we'll get on it ASAP.
Sorry for the confusion! I'll go ahead and close this now. :)
