New members, New Chin...

I'm a new proud owner of a 2 month old Chinchilla. His name is Chai, like the tea. I just got him 2 days ago, and he's already warmed up to me. When I open his cage he sometimes comes out onto my hands and lets me hold him, extremely friendly. Thank you to everyone on the boards for all the informatoin you've post. It's helped alot. I read this site frequently before purchasing the little guy. Now I hope in the future he can get along with my little chihuahua. Here a pic, let me know what you think.

Chai is adorable. My Skit is about 2 and a half months old.. They are just the cutiest at that age!!! Welcome to CNQ~

They are really fun! He is so animated and suprisingly sorta fearless. My little 3 lb. chihuahua was playing with Chai through the gate tonight.

Now I'm excited for Chai's Quality Cage's condo to come in a couple of weeks. I just bought a superpet cage a few days ago for him....but, it sucks. Hopefully I can take it back or sell it to someone else.

Thanks everyone for the nice replies. I can tell he is going to be a great edition to the pet family. Glad I was able to buy him, especially not from a pet store. I got lucky, we have no breeders around here but it just so happens that someone's couple had one baby in August!
