Ha! Hardly! My chins have WAY more personality (and attitude) than any cat I've ever seen!

 That is funny. Most people I know has never heard of or seen chin :O and my stepdad and stepbrother always call my Baby Binx a big rat :tantrum: I hate that! She is so much more special than some old rat!

Nice, that's funny. The last time my parents had a garage sale, I was holding Winx for the majority of the time (I had myself convinced he needed some fresh air and needed to get away from Jinx) and most people were either clueless as to what he was, or thought he was a rabbit. And it's like he's got waaay more personality than any rabbit I've ever met...my rabbit just kinda sits...and eats....and that's it. LOL.

My boyfriend and his dad call the chins "rats." My bf doesn't mean it in a negative way, he likes rats (and so do I, but I still don't like them being called rats). But the dad is convinced that because theyre in the same family as rats, theyre just expensive rats. And they're really not. Granted, I loved my rats when I had them, but the chins are just a whole different animal.

People always say wow what are they some type of rat or what they are huge and Im like naw here feel how soft they are and that changes the whole thing. and then of course my friends that have been around them for a while now at my house and have seen their personalities are so in love and I think each person that comes over to visit has their favorite I know my nephew and my mom does.. Suckers lol

My 22 month old granddaughter was visiting from Edmonton, and she too thought that they we funny kitties. It also didn't help that Kismet is just called Kizzy, and to Kaylee that was kitty. She finally learned the easier names, Kizzy, DÁrt (Dártagnan), and their baby, Demi. They are all very calm and allowed Kaylee to , ummm...hold them. :bump:

She even got to give all 17 chins (now 19) treats and she wasn't too scared, just concerned when the 6 boys were in a heap trying to get to her. It was so cute. I will have to post some pics of all of them...and no matter whether they are called cats, rats, or furballs, we love them all! :hearts:

Ya, I never did understand that...maybe people see a chin and think of rodents, and the first rodent that comes to mind is a rat? I dunno....
