Does Revolution have any side effects? Because someone found some information for me that said it can cause diarrhea and Isis has had it for about a day now. I really don't get why everything keeps happening to her...

Try feeding her a little bit of canned plain pumpkin. I can be used for both constipation and diarrhea. It might help some.

Yeah, I gave Vincent some pumpkin to clear up his constipation, and it worked SUPER well. Make sure you get the unseasoned kind. The stuff I bought was pretty cheap, and although the majority of it was just annointed with, he ate some grudgingly, and seemed much better afterwards. It's worth a try, at least!

Oooh alright, I didn't know you could use it for both. I'm sure we have some here and if not I'll pick it up tomorrow morning.

She will NOT eat it. And I'm getting freaked out.
Why is it always one thing after the other with her? :( I already owe mom $200 for her sneezing and for them to get treated for mites. I start my new job on Monday but the manager said I won't get paid for 3 weeks because I start during a pay period. I'm just so stressed out. I don't understand why this year has been completely horrible and how all the bad things all piled up one after the other. And go ahead and get mad at me for not having money and being a crappy hog mom I know I suck.

You're not a crappy hedgehog mom b/c you don't have money. You begged, borrowed or stole to get your hedgehog care. That makes you a good hedgehog mommy.
Breathe in and out. Relax. In. Out. In. Out. Ok now? Good.
Lots of things can cause diarrhea. Could be the meds, could be the upset. Could be travel. Could be that Mercury is in retrograde. Without other symptoms, let's go with "idiopathic diarrhea". That means no known cause.
Put the pumpkin in a syringe or an eye dropper. Or on the tip of a spoon. Pick up your little darling and put the tip of the syringe/eyedropper/spoon in the corner of her mouth. Right in front of her molars she has a space that you can squirt stuff into. Don't believe me? Take a look at your dog or cat's mouth when it's closed. Pull the side lips up. See that space that their tongue shows through? Hedgehogs have that too.
So, squirt it into that space. Tiny bits, you don't want to choke her. She may like it and not fight you.
Get some acidophilus at the store. Open a capsule and sprinkle a pinch on her kibble every night. That'll help too.
Make sure she drinks and eats and she should be fine. If her poo becomes very mucousy or bright neon green, then she'll need a vet.
HTH.

You're not at all a bad hedgie mom. You are getting vet care for her and are paying for it, even if it involves having to pay your mom back. And I commend your mom for loaning you the money. Not all parents would.
You know what? Things always pile up in life. Things go good for a while and then boom boom boom. It all comes at once. They say things happen in 3's, well it often does and we've had 3 sets of 3's so far this year.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to hear from you guys. It's just so frustrating not knowing what's wrong and worrying that she's not happy or feels horrible. I'll try the pumpkin again. She still eats and drinks and wheels and I'll go and find some acidophilus.
And just to make it worse (I wish I were kidding...) I just noticed her ear was a kind of red and some black thing ran across her. She just had Revolution last Saturday but that thing doesn't sound like a mite.
I guess I need to calm down. This week has just really sucked and losing Isis would make it so much worse. Thank you so much though, you guys made me feel better.

I always remember what my grandmother told me when my life was going crappy when I was a kid. She said, " God gives us bad days so that we remember to fully appreciate the good days." You can substitute God for Fate or whatever it is you happen to believe in. It feels terrible at the moment but trust me, better days are coming. You are doing the best you can, and it is very obvious that you love Isis. That is the most important thing.
