help! looking for hoglet in Halifax or elsewhere in NS

Please help!

I am looking for a hoglet for Christmas, and I am just not keen on the idea of buying from a pet store. I am hoping to find a breeder that I can actually speak to!

I would LOVE a cinnamon-ish colored female, but to be honest, I am not that picky. I just want a little hedgie to call my own! :hearts:

Any ideas where to look, who to call, etc would be appreciated!! Thanks

Contact the Canadian Hedgehog Association (http://www.canadianhedgehogassociation.com), they can probably point you in the right direction.

Yes.. that is a good site. Unfortunately, there are no breeders listed in my province.... any other ideas?? Thanks!!!

Hedgehog Central lists breeders in Nova Scotia. One is in Halifax.

Possibly. Her site hasn't been updated in a year, IIRC. But there were one or two others in NS at least.

There were some on kijiji.com in the Halifax section a week or so ago. I think they were apricots.

Hi Dawn,

Just wanted to let you know that Ruffins in the Bedford Place Mall has some handrised baby hedgies....they are actually from someone local that is selling them on consignment at the pet store. I purchased one today and he is super friendly and is very used to being handled. I have been in contact with the person who was breeding them and she gave me lots of info on them. They are an apricot color. She had an ad up on kijiji for them before she brought them to the pet store. Here is the link, there is some pics on it.
