My two other boys are hellcats, so I'm looking for a chin that is more of a lap chin, on the "cool" side. I really want a cuddler- something that Neeko and Roo have no interest in  I'm not concerned with Pedigrees as long as the chin is healthy and happy, just needing a good home. I'm not looking to pay too much for one since he will be pet only and never bred or shown. I am also fine with rescues. I am looking for any color other than Standard and Hetero Beige, but I might make an exception :p (want to add diversity to my trio, maybe a "quartet" lol)

stacie,
"lap chins" are few and far apart. further more, as they go through life their personalities change and your "lap chin" can turn into something totally different and vise versa.
i personally will not sell to some one who says i want a sweet chinchilla, one that will never bite, one that likes to be held etc even if i have one like that in "the chinchilton" since i really don't know what will happen down the road (all chins can and do bite at times) and i don't want the chin to be out of a home because it did not fulfill an unrealistic expectation.
not 'bashing' in any way just wanted to give you something to think about.

I agree. My chins can be so loving one day and then mad at me the next and sulking (who knows what I did wrong). Also my youngest, Babynut, didn't seem to care if someone would hold her... now she can't stand it. If you can't grab her in one shot, she will bite you (not hard.. more like a warning bite). I have found they are too emotionally complex and intelligent to really predict. I have a hard time figuring out what they are "crying" about half the time.

I know this, and took it into consideration. Maybe I should rephrase. I want a chin that generally does not mind being held, cuddled, etc. Not necessarily one that craves for it. I know they can take a turn for the wild side, and I am completely fine with that. I would never get rid of one of my chins because of a personality change, them biting me (I've gone through a box of bandaids), or something else like that.

Stacie,
I did not mean to imply that you personally would get rid of the chin. It is just that there are things that are very important (a/c, good feed, little/no treats, danger of breeding, and the list goes on and on) and we need to repeat them every time and place we can so that people who are new/thinking about chins will probably stumble onto the post.

I have a VERY nice chin that likes being held and he's very calm. He is a pw male (S24) and he likes being with his chinnie friends (I've had him with two different males now and he has gotten along well with both of them). You can see a picture of him here: http://www.freewebs.com/karynnd/sale.htm
Let me know if you want any other information on him. :)

I also have a few males that are pretty tame if your interested. I have one 4 year old hetero beige that is VERY calm(or as calm as they come) & two freshly weaned kits.
Please let me know if your interested.
They do come with pedigrees though.. not that it should matter with or without as they would be pets with you. =]

Do you ship? I'm looking for a snuggler too. My 2 females have way more important things to do (Like eat my baseboards LOL). I have NO intentions of breeding, your male would be fixed before he got to live with the ladies. Maybe being a HE and a lover will bring everyone around :)
