When do you "hang" with you hedgie?
Morning, nights, mid-day?
I notice that Rikki is really grumpy when I get him up at night time. Then he is all "bowly" in the mid-day (meaning he poops and pees everywhere).
In the morning though, he is so precious and cute, loving and active, and not messy.

I mostly have them out mid day, but I hold them at different times every day. Their personalities don't really change for me...

Some of my guys are grumpy in the evening, others in the morning, so they're on different schedules. Most of them get handled in the morning though.

I put night time but I can pull Aero out any time of the day and he is almost instantly a bouncing baby everytime. I have never really had to put him back for poops or grumpiness.

Ronnie is always grumpy. The only time she'll tolerate any interaction with me at all is right after her dinner!

Kismet is up for attention anytime, any place. If food is involved, she's extra willing. Her personality doesn't change based on the time of day. She's always happy and ready to be loved on.
Cuda prefers night time playtime, but he'll tolerate being cuddled anytime. He likes our morning conversation. I'll talk to him while I'm getting ready for work and he's the only one still up. He'll sit in the middle of his cage and watch me. As soon as I'm done getting ready, he chirps and goes back to his bag.
Vette is always grumpy, but she does like being handled. It takes her a bit to settle down, but once she is, she loves being carried around and loved on any time of the day. She's most active at night though, and she'll actually explore then.

I mostly play with Quinnie at night but lately I have been working late so I've been taking him out to playin the early afternoon. He is a lot more active in the afternoon, mostly he just wants to cuddle at night.

I generally play with our hedgies at night after kaiden goes to bed. That gives me more time to play without kaiden squealing in excitement from them. That tends to freak them out & i cannot let them run around when kaid is with me. I fear that he will step on them or he will get hurt from the quills. So night time seems to work best for us. The hedgies dont seem to mind what time of day it is when they get attention. However, night works out great as they are typically already awake.
