First question: why?????? There are so many hedgehogs out there already that don't have homes, as well as plenty of responsible (as well as not-so-responsible!!) breeders. Breeding (pretty much regardless of the animal) is NOT easy and can be extremely time-consuming and expensive.
Secondly, you need to your research before you even consider breeding Scat. Even though he a female, and therefore won't be carrying the babies, I would think that if there were some sort of complications with the pregnancy you'd be responsible for part of the costs. Also, to be responsible and to keep your hedgies healthy, you've got to know the history of both mom and dad.
I'm sorry, but I think you really need to re-think this decision. It's not something to take lightly, just because hedgehog babies are cute. Many of the breeders here did a LOT of research and mentoring with other experienced breeders before attempting to breed their own. For someone who has mentioned financial issues, I wouldn't think breeding would be the best option, IMHO.

A week ago you were dumping him because of your "allergies". Now you want to breed him??
Amanda - You seriously need to rethink an animals purpose in your life.

The fact that you said "have him get laid" says quite a bit about your maturity level for breeding.
You're going to throw him in with a female, just to "get laid" to see if it makes it easier for you to handle him, instead of you putting the work into it to make him more friendly, then you are not going to let him have a partner again. Did you every think it might actually make him MEANER???
It will make us all immeasurably happy if you don't breed him.
