I'm so tired of dealing with this sort of thing..
Wonder where this idea came from

This was copied and pasted from another forum.. I'm not sure if I got the pic in the right place but you get the idea.

Hippy Stix?
« Thread Started on Jan 3, 2008, 10:31pm »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jake says since they're made with (and smell like) rose hips, I should call them Hippy Stix!!!

I made 72 sticks tonight, people. That's enough for one night, but I do have more I can make for the next few nights, so if you miss out on this batch, don't panic.

I have them bagged up by the dozen, to keep you vultures happy for a longer stretch of time.

Here's the SIX finished packs:

$10 for a dozen sticks, shipped. PayPal goes to blablabla

Here's what they look like unwrapped:

I didn't bother with the second pic
First come first serve! Each stick is about 4 inches long, anywhere from 1/4" to 1/2" round. A good sized snack for one chin!

That's definately intellectual property theft b/c it was my idea and I only gave you the right to use it.

You even mention it on this thread.

I'm so sorry, Kelly and Nancy. That person ought to be embarrassed. But we know who makes the original and the best!

Good grief. And somehow, I'm not surprised. Sorry to see that Kelly. :(

Sorry to hear Kelly... I don't know if this makes you feel any better.. but yours look much more appetizing.

I am so sorry Kelly. You work hard on what you do, and you always are ontop of the new "chin trends", so its unfair to see someone taking you and HM's creativity and calling it their own.

:(

I moved this thread to the debate section as requested by the OP. Since Kelly and Mistywaterwoman are both members of this forum, it's going to remain open for Mistywaterwoman to respond.

Let's play nicely!

With that being said, wouldn't it be a courtesy to say "Hey Kelly, I've also made up some of the apple sticks covered in rose hips. What a great idea. Do you mind I use your idea and sell them on my own??"

It is unfortunate that someone has taken an idea that was given for you soley to use. I know I would be extremely peeved if i found out someone was using my concept for a holistic hedgehog bath and then went on anouther site and marketed it knowing explicitly that they were totally copying me. It also goes the same for Nancy and her wonderful hedgehog igloo covers and bags. I know she has had a few who took her ideas. Whats worste is most of us who sell these products do it to help support their rescue animals or a rescue they donate the profit too. It is really a shame that people on this forum would use other's ideas as a tool for their own fianacial gain. :(

What I find funny is - I don't believe this ad was posted on this forum.

Obviously, they are affraid --and know they are doing something wrong by stealing ideas.

Atleast have the guts to post it where you know the person whom you are stealing the idea from is active!!
