This family is looking to rehome their 5.5 year old female hedgehog with a bad mites infestation. They are moving across Canada and feel that a week-long trip in the car would be far too stressful for the little one. I don't know how true their story is, but the fact of the matter is, the little one needs a new home. She is currently being treated for mites (the woman couldn't remember off-hand what was being used), and feels it's a chronic infection because the mites keep returning.

This hedgehog will be sent to her new home with all her belongings, and is free to a good home.

There's another free hedgie being listed (growl...) on that site, just a couple of hours ago. Does our contact up in Peace River still want to rehome some rescues, if so I can home these two for a while....

What's the link to that listing, April?

I can't find it now, and the link I have comes up blank. I'm guessing that means someone removed the ad...but I did email the lady when the ad was up. Unfortunately hotmail is down right now, so I can't check if she got back to me or not...

I think this hog has been relisted (the 5.5 year old), so I've left a message at their home. I am trying...hopefully I'll hear back.

Oh, I’m so glad to hear that you got her (if I assumed correctly)! I do hope you’ll post very many pictures of her throughout her recovery. She deserves a loving home with someone who will love her unconditionally for as long as she’ll live.

Oh, and I just found the new ad. Yes, it's the same hedgehog. I spoke to the woman when she was first listed and they seemed very excited to hand her right over to me. If they won't return your calls, I'll shoot them a call and meet you somewhere to drop her off.
