One Direction or Two?

Does your hedgie run in both directions on the wheel, just one direction, or not at all? My girls both run in only one direction.

I don't have a hedgie, but I saw my pet store carry hedgehog food (Which I know is bad) so I'm wondering if any breeders are here. :)

Most of mine run in both directions, but Tobias and Parkar both seem to favour the one direction over the other.

Both, as long as its a wheel, they dont mind what way they are 'fakely' headed. hahaha

Bramble seems to prefer running in one particular direction, but I have "caught" him running opposite of that, too.

Saffie runs in one direction only.

One night we were able to see her (light was coming in her room from the next room) and she would run on her wheel, stop a little, peek over the side, and start running again. She would do this several times.

We were thinking maybe she stops to take a look and see how far she's gone....:laugh:

I had to put 3 different answers.. Aero just runs.. Its cute some times he will take a piece of fleece run and run and run and then get off look around his cage.. then go the other direction and run and run and run. Almost like he "past the turn" where his house it! LOL

Rosa Always jumps off.. never actually caught which direction though. Cavalier.. I have never seen him run period.. I know he does beause of poop on the wheel but never actually seen him on it... I have only seen him ONE time out on his own in his cage.

And Needler I have ONLY seen run one direction.. His poop shows it too! LOL

Apparently Anyong has many places to go - she runs in both directions. Sometimes she switches mid-session.
