Many of the chinchilla rescues in the Midwest are maxed out right now, due to the ongoing economic woes and home foreclosures, and I've been asked by a few if I could put in a request for relief. So, if you live in OH, MI, WI or IN and are acquainted with doing chinchilla rescue work, then please email me and let me know if you could take in (to foster and re-home) some chins to help relieve the burden on other rescues. I can discuss details after getting an idea if there will be help available,
Thanks! :thumbsupwink:

I am in CO, but I might be able to help if chins can get here. I don't have a lot of space right now... I could probably take 1 or two cages.

Well if there's anyone needing a place to foster a chin, I can take in one, or more if they're housed together. This would be a rehome situation though. And I don't have any extra cages, so if they had a cage with them, that'd be super. Let me know if I can help.

I can help and in a few days I'll have an extra cage. I have no problem going out and getting cages if needed also. Email me anytime: kippystarz@yahoo.com. I can get almost anything in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus area!

I can help. I'm down in Southwestern IN, right on the IL border and about an hour from Kentucky.

I am a couple hours away in St. Louis, but if you need help, I have room here.

Thanks for all the replies! I have sent out emails to some of you who I think the travel times and arrangements may work. :)
Anyone seeing this for the first time can still respond / contact me. We still have some additional chins that will need homes.
Thanks again,
Adam

Around here in New England there have been a ton showing up on craigslist. Usually people state they don't have time for a chinchilla. Translation...they are bored with the animal.
Hope you find some help!
