I don't think my hedgehog is on a good diet. I want to change it. I know I can't do it all at once, but I would like to make my hedgehog healthier and happier. I won't post what diet he is on right now because I know it is bad.

Hi Skipper,
We talked in a chat a few days ago about this very topic. I pointed you towards this thread http://www.chins-n-quills.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125129
The food your hedgehog is on isn't good so I definitely recommend a change as soon as possible. Were you able to locate any of the high quality foods listed?
Introduce 1 new food at a time so that your hedgehog isn't overwhelmed and their stomach isn't upset over the change. You should use the following schedule:
Week 1 = 75% old food, 25% new food
Week 2 = 50% old food and 50% new food
Week 3 = 25% old food and 75% new food
Week 4 = 100% new food
Do this to introduce your new kibble. Keep him on that first high quality kibble for a few weeks to see how he reacts. After a few weeks and everything seems okay, introduce a second new food.
