yeast?

my hedgehog seems to of suddely started developing a yeast like substance around her Vag. I bath her in hibiclens but it keeps coming back. Seems like it's from laying in her own urination and/or some kind of yeast infection. As you can imagine she hates being scrubbed down there and I was hopeing someone could help with some direction on why this suddenly started occurring. there have been no canges to her diet, I did move her to a much larger cage. can someone please help??

I would go see my vet to get her something to treat her. I don't know what hibiclen is or if it's safe to use on her. Usually, hig humidity can cause yeat infection, since you say you bathe her pfthen, she may have not been dryed properly.

Hibiclens is a very strong antibacteria cleanser. It could be part of the problem.

First, get the problem properly diagnosed. Just guessing that there is a yeast issue is unsafe.

Until you see the vet, stop the cleansing. If she lays in her urine, get more absorbent bedding. Keep her DRY. If she needs cleaning use a gentle oatmeal bath and make sure she's thoroughly dry. Do not put anything on the area until the vet sees her.
