Hey guys, haven't posted in quite some time, but you all have always helped me out.
I need to move my horse from the place i am currently boarding (Zion, IL) to Bristol Wisconsin (about 15 minutes away or so), problem is, i dont own a horse trailer.
Do any of you have any idea where i could rent a horse trailer, or even someone out there who will help move him for me, for a fee of course!

Is there anyone at either barn who has a trailer and will haul your horse for a fee? When I had a horse and I moved here, there was always someone at the barn who was willing to do it for me for a fee.

When I lived in Ohio, the Uhaul store actually rented out horse trailers. They were pretty cheap, but it was a huge, huge store. They also rented out RV's (the big suckers, like semi sized) as well. I don't know if that would help in your area, but you could give it a try.

I think she's talking 15 minutes on the expressway. It's about 20 miles through some heavily populated areas. That would be a simple solution, though.

The feed store by me rents a horse trailer, have you checked the local feed stores?

Also try asking your vet - there are (at least in some places) companies that will haul for you, and the local horse vets may know who they are, since sometimes horses need to get to hospitals and owners don't always have trailers. Or ask around your barn, if you take lessons, ask your instructor, etc.

I actually agree with HM.. unless it's through major traffic or a huge city...
I see nothing wrong with a nice long ride!
