Teen dating

Hey, how many of you guys date out there? There has been some debate over whether teens should date at an early age..what do you guys think? I currently do..anyone out there with a different opinion?

I put not til 18, but it's actually 16 for me. Though it's not like I have guys lining up anyways:rolleyes: my church counsels against dating before 16 b/c of certain effects it can have(ahem...premarital sex and all,) so guess I have to wait@

So your going to wait till 16? I'm not saying thats bad or anything but I'm sure you could date right now and you don't have to have sex or anything. Just a thought :cool:

Well, quite frankly I've thought about it a lot. I mean, what if a guy asked me or something?(in another dimension of course)...Anyways, if someone ask me, I'll tell them to try again on my 16th birthday. And it's not just because of my church, even though if that was the only reason for obeying that rule I would, its my own thoughts. For one thing, when I'm 16, I will have a car and a lisence as well as the guy. I'd prefer driving ourselves than having parent chaperones. Another thing is that I know some of my friends date just for the heck of dating, which I really disagree with. I'm very peculiar when it comes to guys, so when I get a boyfriend, I want it to be someone I know I can spend a long time with, and not break up when we start maturing even more. That's another reason why my church teaches against dating under 16. When you dating, it's like ur way of searching for the person your going to spend the rest of your life with. Therefore I think it should be closer to that age anyways. Not that people don't break this rule. Two of my best friends go out w/ guys, but they're kinda snobs anyways. :confused: Very odd I know, sorry for the long response!:p
