Oh man, I've got to share this with all of you! Darwin had me on the brink of peeing my pants this morning, I was laughing so hard! I had him out of his cage, and he was roaming around on the floor, just being nosy, and he had come up upon a toilet paper roll that my cat had as a toy. I look over just in time to see a prickle-biscuit GALLUPING across the floor with a toilet paper roll on his head! He stops, whips it off his head, looks at it, sticks his head back in it and shakes it around, making "vicious" little snarls and snorts! :> This went on for about 3 minutes, I mean, he was seriously taking it out on this toilet paper roll! I think he thought he was a linebacker! My cat just stood there and stared at him in disbelief... One of those things that makes your day to see!

Lucky use to do similar things. Except she never stuck her head in the tube, instead she would flip the tube over and over, which was quite funny to watch. I have seen tons of pictures on the internet of hedgehogs shoving their heads in these tubes. I've even seen a report from one lady that their hedgehog would scoop food up in the tube then eat it as it came down. Another story I heard was one sleeping in their tube. Silly little pogs.

Hi! I'm new and having trouble getting my posts to post. Any help will be appreciated. Anyway, our Needles used to love his toilet paper tube. We read somewhere that hedgies liked them and so I gave one to Needlekins. He got his head stuck in it and I was afraid he might not be able to breathe or would get hurt, so I took it off. He immediately stuck his head back in & we soon learned that he enjoyed it. He was really cute!
