Anime anyone?

All this talk of movies and such made me wonder if there are any other anime (Japanese animtion) fans out there. I just love the stuff, can't get enough of it. What are your favorite series?
My current favorite is Fruits Basket... I highly recommend it to anyone. It's beyond cute.
If anyone wants to discuss their favorite anime I'm always around and love to talk :)

anime is the greatist i saw some show on late night cartoon network that was really cool but i dont remember the name of it everyone had really freaky hair and lots of guns though it was awesome

Escaflowne and Vampire Princess Miyu are the two I'm hooked on. I bought the whole Escaflowne series (tv and normal versions) and the movie which is not in English yet. The Vampire Princess Miyu ones I'm still collecting. If anyone knows where I can find Vol. 3 (the non tv series one) I would be ever so thankful. It's the one where Larva gets freed from being a Miyu's slave (his brother's doing) and ends up killing Miyu. I read about it a fewyears back and have been looking for it since.

Try therightstuf.com Scully. Also, they have the Esca movie which was released in english last month. It actually ran in some art house theaters but not for long. They have the single movie DVD, and also a collectors box with an extra disk and the soundtrack.

Anime....... lol I have not bought any in the last 3 weeks... I have been pretty depressed.... I am a big dragon ball/DBZ/DBGT fan..... I had all of DBZ/GT in japanese and I was going to burn it all but well... ANyway... a virus ate Mikes HD.... NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is pretty bad when you cry over it.... But I did...

Anyway, the last one I bought was Genocyber. Umm..... if you are under 18 ask your parents permission.. there is a scene or 2 init, but besides that it is really good... I liked it...I nearly died when it cost $40.... but.... it is 156 minutes long... My 2 Prairie dogs love it.. lol they sit there and look at the tv. oh, and iut can be pretty violent....... :)

u know, I really need to get a job again so I can collect more...

Another one I watch when I need to laugh is Captain Tylor. lol. I have that one on VHS but plan on getting dvd of it soon. It is pretty funny. This guy has all the luck inthe woeld but he is really laid back and likes women and is a bif flirt. and it goes on with these battles and his stupid decisions, but it always workd out for him... lol It really is good....

I've never been able to get into DB... maybe I've just never seen the right episodes.
Rose: $40 for a DVD is expensive! And I'm assuming that's $40 American... correct me if I'm wrong! I thought $46 Canadian for vol. 1 of Oh My Goddess was bad... (I got vol. 2 for $32!!! well, it's in the mail now...)

Anyone know where to order cheap anime DVDs on the net?

lol todays movie is SIn.... I have almost played it non stop.. I just get into thse kicks because I have nothing better to do bwesides play with the animals and video games... lol You think a 21 yr old would have something better to do....

Anyway, SO I have a question. I know there are a lot of anime people who do not like it, but tell the truth, how many of you own or have owned Akira???????

In my personal opinion, Akira is something different to everyone... I didn't care much for it. It was alright, and I'm glad I rented it, but I don't think I'd buy it. My anime-hating boyfriend on the other hand really enjoyed it... go figure. I'd suggest renting it first...

as for Ah! My Goddess! I couldn't tell you because I haven't been able to watch it yet!! My computer is going through some major spazz attacks so I had to reformat, and as such I can't get access to my DVD ROM... *sniff* cruel, cruel fate...
However, a good friend of mine who likes pretty much the same things I do raves over it.
