I listen to some types of House/Breaks, DnB and some IDM/Downtempo as well. I'm pretty picky about my music. The thing with dance music that gets me is that so much of it is just HORRID.

Can I admit that I've always that it would be rad to be a DJ  I like ambient, trance, techno and house... but I don't think I have the knowledge or talent to give it a go.
I came across a cute book called Couch World. It's about a 20-something woman who is trying to make a living spinning. She doesn't have a house and lives by crashing with friends (hence the title). A good summer read for those who like the music.

I'm not a DJ, but I love happy hardcore. Do you have anything online?

nope, nothing online.. im not so much a fan of the current happy as i am the old 'cheese core' stuff from way back when it all started. I actually sold my turn tables about a year ago.. a part of me wishes i wouldnt have, but another part is happy that stage of my life is over since it was extremely hektic to listen to happy 24/7 hehehe..

I had a studio built with my roommate of 6 years. When we moved out it was divided up so I don't have the capability to record or write anything. I just bought a condo in January and am recovering from that and a bunch of other financial obligations, but putting together my own set up is definitely on the list of things to do. I might have something to link up by the end of the summer but I wouldn't bet on it.
Spending this entire year without music has really sucked but it will be well worth it in the end. Homeownership rocks!

Yeah, I could see how nothing but happy hardcore would wear thin...
My friends play DDR and other music games, so they find the weirdest artists. There's always something crazy on in the car 'round here.
Gratz on the homeowning, Miles!

If any of you are interested in a really great Electro set, go to www.112crew.com and look under Dennis Rogers for mixes. "Robots Vol. II" is pure heat. Really trippy stuff.
