Hello. I forgot to introduce myself when I joined !
My name is Niki. I live in Brandon, VT in a house that has more animals than people, by far! I also have 2 fellow humans in the house- my husband and our foster son. I have to admit, it can be hard telling animals behavior apart from human males sometimes! (just kidding, please no offense to all the men out there!) My father nicknamed my house "The Brandon Zoo", hence my name "BandonZoo".
Anyway, here's some of my "herd":
23 chins (currently, which includes some youngsters for sale.)
3 dogs (labs and a boxer)
5 turtles
1 lizard
7 frogs
2 Gray Banded Kingsnakes
3 Pirhana
&too many other fish to count quickly
I have had chins for almost 7 (?) years now... I am trying to remember exactly. I have been breeding- small scale- for about 3 years. VT is not very "Chin-oriented" so I have spend hours-years- reseaching on my own for knowledge. I am happy to feel more connected and supported with "chin-knowledge" through this group. I can definitely say I have learned a lot over the years with my chins. I have taken in rescues, nursed back to health, overcome birthing and mating complications, illnesses, ailments, etc. As you all would probably agree, though, I still seem to be learning every day!
Just wanted to say hi.
