Just checked on my chinchilla and saw her laying on her side. I think she died due to it being so hot lately. I blame it on myself for not making sure her environment was cool. I was planning on posting an ad for her soon since my dad was forcing me to give her away. I've always wanted a chin and now that I was able to have one and it died on me I feel like a bad owner and think I should never buy one again because the thought of another one dying on me would just make me feel bad. I'll just end it here it's not good to have a pet die and then have to attend a wedding in a few hours. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about your chin :( Don't give up on owning one in the future though.

After my chin died we got another one, about 2 weeks later, actually. She was a rescue though,thats probley why I got another one so quickly. You will probley regret it more if you don't get a new one, you might want to do more reasearch or keep a closer eye on temps. and stuff.
