Great news. She got up and drank and ate a bit on her own. She had an almost normal sized and coloured poop. She is wandering around the cage looking for something..... probably her wheel. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday.

Hi Annabelle
This is Cinder. Did your mommy stick that yucky hard thing in your mouth with food in it? I keep biting it but she just keeps doing it. I have two mommies and they are really wierd. They are so happy when I poop and pee.

Cinder~
She sure did! I bit that stick thing and tried to hide from it. I'm pretty sure she hid some antibiotics in my applesauce and tricked me by hiding it in sweet potatoes too.. why she tried to ruin my favorite foods, I don't know. I know those mommies mean well, but did they have to make such a big deal about the poop? She told everyone! I was so embarassed

Cinder had her surgery yesterday and came through with flying colours. The vet used the laser so she will heal much quicker. She still won't eat on her own. Much as she protests I have to think maybe she likes the attention.

Nancy,

I'm so sorry that I didn't read about this until just now!

Please know that I am thinking of Miss Cinder. I'm sure that Toto and the gang will send plenty of healing vibes Cinder's way. Toto had a hysterectomy soon after I brought her home so I know that it can be rough!

Cinder continues to do well. She is eating mealies on her own. I still syringe her the liquid recovery diet from the vet. She is pooping a small green amount, and peeing and moves cautiously around the cage. Best of all she is just being her wonderful self.

I am constantly amazed by these wonderful little creatures. She does not like being syringed at all and if she wanted to she could quill and ball up and I couldn't do it. No, all she does it push the syringe away with her paw and try to wiggle away. What a sweetheart. :)

:applause: Yeah Cinder! I knew you would be just fine :) Annabelle had laser too!

Hey Cinder~
Here's some advice: try to eat as many mealies as you can.. sooner or later your mom is going to realize you are back to yourself and then you have to hear "Too many mealies aren't good for you.. back to a couple every few days" . I'm glad you're doing okay!
