I've just joined and love it here already!!! I am so glad I found somewhere to go that is all about hedgies!!! I should be getting my first hedgehog in a couple days. We have been working very hard on building him a great home. His name will be smudge! I will post pics as soon as we get him!

This site is really neat. I joined a few days ago an many people have been more than helpful. The success of your new friend will be enhanced by being here!

This is what I know about hedgehogs.

I held one once, it peed in my hand and then fell asleep in it. It was the weirdest experience I ever had with an animal. It slept there for about 10 minutes, then woke up, curled up a little bit, and I fed it a piece of... something the owner fed it.

So when you know them better, please let me know how they are as pets and what exactly I did to deserve such an odd experience.

Welcome, ask lots of questions here, you'll learn a lot from the experts. Not me. *laughs*

welcome.......my experiences w/a hedgie weren't that great either....but that is just b/c my friend got her for me and she was really sick and...... its a sad story... just make sure that...er, smudge...is healthy when you get him. now im more of a chin fan. :)
