my poor, sweet, little baby. i noticed a lump just above hedgewoods tail, where the tail joins to the body. i noticed it was there approx a month ago, but fiqured it was just where her spine ended.........i kept an eye on it, yesterday noticed that it was a little bigger. so we went to the vet today, got ex-rays and it appears to be a fracture:eek:   i dont know how this could have happened, i am so careful with her. she does not appear to be in pain as she runs on her wheel everynight like mad.
im so worried about her, i hope everything goes ok........i love her sooo much and will do whatever it takes to ensure she is healthy and safe.

Did the vet say if there was anything that you can do about it? I mean, it's been there for a month now. Is there any kind of treatment or do you just leave it alone now?
I can't even imagine what might have happened. You should be thankful that she's not in any obvious pain.
I hope she's feeling ok.

Ouf !
I began to read your post and when I arrive to the word "lump", I said to myself : "oh no, she got cancer ! (it is more frequent on hedgehog than we think).
Poor little thing ! A fracture is not good either. :(
I have a special thought for her as well as for you.
Keep us uptaded !

Maybe the little baby had the fracture when you got it. It was probably nothing you did. Hope all goes well.
