"Member" ?

I saw that some people have personalized the line under their name that usually says " member" etc. I was just wondering how people do that or if you have to have a certain amount of post?

I believe you have to have 100 posts and been a member for more than 30 days in order to change your title to a custom one. And when you do...you can't use the words Administrator, Moderator, or Buddy or any form of those words. :)

A buddy is someone that knows the rules of the forum and can help newbies find the information that they're looking for and helps the moderators monitor the ongoings of the forum. :)

How do you become a buddy ?

Become knowledgable about chins/hedgies, learn the rules of forum, & express desire of becoming one to the administrator of the forum.
