So mookie has given up on the bananna as a treat.. as well as the grape.. He uses Slim 38 but I want to give him something more.
SO I thought I would ask for people to start a huge list of all the foods they can have.. I will compile it like a Hedgie COOK BOOK!! and then post a masterlist that new owners and people who need ideas can print out in word.
SO if you would all be so kind.. START POSTING oh what you feed your baby, how you prepare it.. anything..
Thanks again all.

Haha - a Hedgie Cook Book! That is cute!!
Well, my Razzle LOVES baby food sweet potatoes. It can just be plain sweet potato or turkey with sweet potato. Either way, he gobbles it up. That is probably his favorite "treat" item besides crickets.
Other than that - he likes the following babyfood items:
turkey with gravy
chicken with gravy
chicken & apples
beef with broth
applesauce/pears
peas/carrots (not his favorite, but will eat them if I stick a cricket in it)
His favorite BUGS -
crickets
wax worms
meal worms (on occassion)
Others have said that their hedgie liked hard-boiled egg whites. I am going to hard boil some eggs this weekend and try it out. Razzle didnt' care for just plain meat - cooked chicken or the Gerber meat stix (he won't touch them).

Tico loves beef baby food, apples are okay with him, and he loves all insects.
Nemo hates everything except meal worms, and wont touch anything that I put in his "treat bowl." Tico on the other hand goes straight for the treat bowl. I have tried everything under the sun, and so far these are the only things they will eat. Also I used to buy the cooked tyson chicken, and tico would possibly eat that. My boys are incredibly picky (just like their mom).

I believe the Hedgehog Welfare Society has a cookbook (that they sell) that has recipes for mostly people food, I think, but I know they say it also has recipes that you can feed your hedgies, too. I've been curious about it, but never actually bought it yet. Might be worth checking out.

1/2 (big ) can wysong au-jus (in rabbit, duck, venison, or something else interesting)
1 cup yogurt
1 scoop kitten formula
1 egg
any vitamins you want to add as well as meds they're taking

Kerri...Vortle included the 'recipe' after
"1/2 can jack mackarel (or salmon)
1/2 (big ) can wysong au-jus (in rabbit, duck, venison, or something else interesting)
1 cup yogurt
1 scoop kitten formula
1 egg
any vitamins you want to add as well as meds they're taking"
I do similar meals but I dont follow any set pattern/recipe
