hey everyone! :D I am throwing a baby shower for my cousin and I was wondering if anyone had any cute ideas for a baby shower cake. Or at least any online references. I have found a few good ideas but can't narrow it down yet. Any help would be appreciated!

My fave that I like to serve is "Better then sex cake" My thought is when you get to be about 9 months and your so uncomfortable you wish that you would have stuck with eating the cake then the other thing. LOL

Do you mean in terms of decorating the cake, or type??

I mean more in terms of decorating. Something I can do that is relatively easy but very cute. She is having a girl so I might have to go with something very pink and girly! :)

At my fellow employee's baby shower we did a game called "name that flavor" We had masked the lables on the babyfood jars and you had a ballet where you wrote down the flavor of what each one tasted like. The person with the most correct answers won a little gift. It was a lot of fun yet kinda gross LOL.
As for food serve things like baby carrot cake or baby greens salad you could do baby pigs in a blanket, use the small sized hot dogs. :)

How much time do you have to make the cake??

Here is a cute idea, you wouldn't have to do rolled fondant if you don't know how to, and there are so many other possibilites with the rainbow and such.
Does she have a theme?

No, we really do not have a theme yet because the party will not be for a while. I just started thinking about some ideas recently.

I was in charge of the cake for a friend's shower last year.
I was going to a have another friend make it (she's a professional pastry chef who does special occasion cakes on the side) but she was on a time crunch. I had a bakery do a 1/2 cheet cake instead.
The shower theme was rubber duckies so I had that incorporated into the cake with "Welcome Little One" on it. I had no choice in the matter; that's what my friends' MIL suggested I have written on it
