how soon is soon enough to get another

i have a friend (really) who got a hedgehog and another in 1 month! made me mad this was her 3rd and 4th though but still she needed time to adjust to eachother grrrrr..... :banghead: ne way how soon is too soon?

I do not think there is any right answer to this question. Before I bring any new animal into my household, I ask myself the following questions:

1) Can I truly afford another animal?
I make sure all of new critters recieve a wellness exam with my vet. I also make sure that I have at least $150 per critter in my "emergency" fund just in case something comes up.

2)Will I have enough time to spend with this new animal in addition to my current ones?
I try to let my chins run at least 30 minutes a night, my hedgehog is handled at least a couple hours while I'm wandering around my house, and I am still trying to bond with 3 unsocialized sugar gliders!

3)Have I done my homework on this animal?
i.e. housing and temp. requirements, diet, enrichment, etc.

I don't add animals just because I can. I want to provide them all with the best that I can give them.

when I got my first hedgehog, I got my second in less then a month, and then they just kept comming :P
