Popples first visite to the Vets!

Well this morning Popples went for his first visite with the vet. He was a little hissy pants! He didn't like her. Well he got a shot for mites that may be under his skin i have to go back in two weeks for him to get one more. She said he looks pretty healthy, the only thing is that he as abit of crusty on the tip of his ears, she said that is normal! I though he would have been more mad at me, I let him play in is play pen before i pick him up so he know's that we were home. I was surprise that he made the poping sound i never heard him do that, Poor little guy was scared. :(

Glad to hear that he's normal! My Cleo hates my vet because she talks sooo loud so she knows how Popples feels.

Yay! For Popples! Glad he's heathy...mites are a pain though. Make sure you clean his whole cage out and disinfect it before you put him back in there! Good luck! :)

Poor Popples. The vets is a big scarey place for a little hedgie. :)

Some of mine get crusty ears. I find the thing that works best is nipple cream that nursing moms (human) get. It works great and far better than vasaline or other products. It is also non-toxic. :)

when i took hedgewood to a near by vet, she would not unroll. the vet is very small townish and takes in any lost or unwanted pet. there are animals all over the place. when i took hedge out of her cage, a cat jumped up on the examination table and there was a dog barking in the background.


on the other hand, when we go to her exotic pet vet, it is very clean, professional and quiet........she is totally fine, and friendly.....she totally shows off and no one can believe how tame she is.
