Does anyone know anything about travelling with hedgehogs within Canada? Preferably I'd like to take mine in carry-on.
Air Canada was no help, they vaguely know what a hedgehog is. All they could offer me was that reptiles, rats, mice, weasels, ferrets and rodents aren't welcome, where as guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters are. Where does a hedgehog fit in with all of this?
I've travelled with several hermit crabs before, who also don't fit in with this scheme (no vet papers either), and haven't been questioned. Should I just show up with a hedgehog (if I get one) and hope for the best?
What do you guys think?
Thanks!

The airlines & customs want things easy and straighforward. My recommendation is that you refer to your pet as a Prickly Hamster - a lesser known variety of the houshold hamster. Have a good trip!!

Haha... they won't know any better, and I'm sure the ones who do must like hedgies enough to let me away with it. :)

I've made arrangements to bring my little girl home on Thursday or Friday! I'm very excited :)
