Gross,....I won't feed my pets this!!! :Pukey: It is in most cat and dog foods. (meat bi-product). Alot of hedgie foods also have these kind of ingreedients, but it just cost alot more. And because they can get away with it! :angry:
I do alot of reasurch on animals in general. I know that corn is bad for animals and the importance of a good quality food. Really cheep foods are soo full of corn it is like feeding your pet a can of corn with vitamins and flavor!!!!!!!!
I know that cat food is not good for hedgehogs, but I can't find a hedgehog food that is even worthy enough as a treat!
Please make some sugestions!!!! I want the best!!!!! :banghead:
Or should I just start making my own??

There are many threads on this topic. What are the best cat and dog kibbles out there? Some companies make better quality food and even human grade food kibbles. As well as most hedgie owners supplement their hedgie diet with various meat, veggies, fruits, and pasta.

I know that cat food is not good for hedgehogs, but I can't find a hedgehog food that is even worthy enough as a treat!
Why do you think this?? As Moose has stated...there are tons of info in this section on the best foods to feed your hedgie.
I also will not feed my hedgie anything with bi-products, and I have found quite a few great cat foods that do not have the bi-products, artificial preservatives, flavors or colors.
If you need any suggestions after reading through some of these threads, just ask.

All the hedgie foods in my area have terrible ingreedients. Cat food is sepost to be bad for them right? I think that I would rather feed my hedgie a homemade diet. Hamberger, chicken, rice, bugs veggies,etc but how much of each? I have no problem cooking for my babies every night!

As far as kibbles go, I feed mostly cat food. A lot of people here DO feed a lot or all cat food. I also give them quite a bit of fresh food, too. Check out,
