okay my pig is getting bigger he use to be chubby but that was back when i first had him but once he got a new big wheel tubes and a bigger cage he became super fit and tiny like quite smaller than the girl i have but he was eating well so no worries...well he is porking up so is this a winter thing or do they not do that? i did add iams cat food into thier mix which he seems to love so i guess i am wondering if he is seasonally chubby or is it the food??

I wouldn't think being tropical that they should bulk up for winter but I have a boy that does the same thing come fall. :laugh:

Maybe it has something to do with the hibernation gene that's still there somewhere?

You say you added Iams to the mix of food. What is the fat content of the Iams? You should use the lowest fat Iams you can find. Hedgehog food should be about 15% fat total.
