Try adding apple sause to the resipe..I know it sounds weird..but try it anyways..it won't alter the taste..I add it to alot of my resipe's it tastes great and keeps them soft..its also great in banana bread...yumm :slurp: it really sounds strange but trusy me there good :) ...just a suggestion..don't add alot just a few tablespoons..like 2 - 4 depending on how many the resipe makes..2 dozen i add 2 tbsp. full of apple sause...give it a try and let me know if it works for u.bye for now :) Penny
Ovens vary a lot in the temp.... when I set my at 375 it is really cooking at 425!!! So know where your oven is really cooking and at what temp.... get a separate thermometer to check the inside temp..... And cookies are best baked in a cooling oven, so if you turn down the oven when you place the cookies in the over , it helps. As does cutting down the time, but lowering the temp is better so the cookies get baked right all the way thru.....

Alton Brown's "chewy" is my Holy Grail chocolate chip cookie recipe. It never fails! :)

Cookies... I heard that if you add a bit more butter or something that they'll stay moister inside. But I've never tried that...
Man, wish I could help... last time I made cookies they were the Toll House Cut-n-Bake dough roll ones where all you do is cut them and then bake.. and they came out as chocolate chip coasters. I've never seen a cookie that was black all the way through... but I managed to do it somehow. :)
