Howdy y'all! :hello:
I was just wondering if your hedgehog will let you touch its mouth and look at its teeth? I've always been scared to touch Quillson's mouth even though he's never been a biter I didn't want to take the chance. Well tonight while he was snuggling in my lap and sniffing my hands I decided to go for it and he didn't object at all! I did it a few more times over about 20-30 minutes and he never so much as nipped!
I feel special! My baby really really trusts me! :D This totally made my week! I think I'll be high for days!

hehe that must have been cute :) I've never tried opening Cleo's mouth but I'll put my finger up to her mouth and she'll lick my finger and bite it gently until she's bored. This isn't a mean bite, she just likes tasting me I guess?

Danielle - Awww! That sounds so sweet! Yesterday Quillson and I fell asleep together and I woke up to him sniffing and licking my chin as if to say, "Mommy wake up! I wanna to eat!" It was priceless!

Some of my hedgehogs will let me open their mouths and check their teeth with no complaints. Others would attempt to dig for arteries if I even tried. :-P

My baby let the vet check out her mouth even though she was sort of balled loosly. I was honestly shocked as she had been pretty antisocial up until then. He also recommended handling her feet daily as part of her socializing to ensure easy nail trimming later on! :applause:

I'm not putting my finger anywhere near Odo's mouth. She has already proven that she can, and will bite when displeased. Kudo's to those who can though!
