What I said was... "The message I got from your post was that you feel minors or younger owners are poorly equipped to take care of a hedgehog. Is this what you meant to convey?" Can you answer that please? I've read her post and Im still wondering what the answer to my question is from my previous post. Why are you in ":disbelief:" from my question, thats the message that I got from your post. And my second question was "For you to sit there and say that, does all those things that I do, not count as being responsible, just because Im a minor?".

I initially recieved the same impression from Bears posts as Lauren did. Prehaps you can look at it through others eyes and see how your posts could have been misunderstood. :)

some people do understand, i hope, that my comments were an observation.

my personal view is that some young people (and some adults for that matter) are good pet owners, and some are not. the stereotype certainly has truth behind it, but i also realize that stereotypes do not apply in every specific case. in general, (again, not everyone without exception) adults have a better understanding and consideration of the responsibilities than younger people, and decide against having a pet, before they actually get one and see firsthand what it entails.

i do understand, and i don't mean this unkindly, that it's tough to be 15 on (edit) a predominately adult forum. precisely because of my observation--"people get concerned that potential owners, especially young people, might not be a good owner. . . ." and i recognise that this might make you more sensitive to general comments about young people, though they may not apply to you particularly.
