Hedgehogs need to be kept at atleast 70*F. Some start to go into hibernation at 73*F so need their temps to be set at 75*F. But usually its between 70*F-78*F.

I keep mine between 75 and 80. 77 is where they seem the happiest.:)
They do not do well if it drops below 75.

I keep my girl at about 71, but she has a snuggle disk under her cage all the time. She never feels cool on her tummy and is very active and healthy. I think the snuggle disk helps alot so that we don't have to heat the whole house up for one room.

I've noticed that Alina is more active when I keep her disk warmed up all the time. The house is generally very cool. (We aim for at least 70, but our thermostat does a lousy job of maintaining temperature.)

I recently added a ceramic heat disk to room, above her cage. Now the temp is about 77 there all of the time and I don't have to heat up the snuggle disk in the microwave any more......I will save it for travel!! :D
