Has anyone ever tried giving their hedgie orange before? I know that it is acidic...but I was eating a very sweet mandarin orange today...and Bosco actually climbed up my chest and tried to steal it away from me!

I gave him a very tiny piece, and he just gobbled it up. Any one else have any experience with this?

Of course I wont give him too much, becuase I dont want to upset his little tummy. But Im suprised that he actually was that impressed with it! He is usually such a picky eater.

EDIT- BTW, I only gave him the juicy part inside, none of the pulp, or skin that surrounds the little juice sack things. I didnt want to risk him choking on any of that, seeing as I sometimes even have a little trouble chewing on it.

Absolutely no problem with it. In small quantities of course. If you give him too much, it can make him very uncomfortable, and give him nasty poops and a sore mouth, but small quantities are fine, and contain lots of vitamins and minerals and stuff.
