i getting a hedgehog in a few weeks and i been doing some reasearch , i like to learn new things :) and i was just wondering how many babies hedgehog usally have? :confused: and how long does it take form the time the mother is bred to when she gives birth? :confused:

Hedgehogs can have anywhere from 1 to 9 babies. I just had a litter of 7. The gestation period is 35 days.

Don't get into breed to make money or because they are cute. It is very difficult. My hedgehog had to have a c-section. The cost was over $550. They were 7 babies, 6 survived. It has been 2 1/2 days and I have had to hand feed the babies because mom has been in too much pain. I may have to continue to hand raise them. They may not survive.
