Other than the states that restrict hedgehog ownership, about how many counties/cities across the country don't allow hedgehogs?

I'm not sure that anyone really knows. I did a lot of looking before I got Alina.... I couldn't find anything close to a comprehensive list.

What I did find was this: most places seem to have a generic "no wild animals" clause that is interpreted pretty liberally. If they don't know what animal you are talking about, it's assumed to be wild (even if it has been in domestication for 10+ years) and that clause applies. I don't think many places outlaw hedgehogs specifically, just categorically. *grouch*

Most of the emphasis seems to be placed on prohibiting large, obviously dangerous (often specifically named!) or very exotic, possibly endangered species. I think it is left generic though because who knows what animal someone might decide to keep!
